Have you ever heard the phrase “as inside, as outside”?
It states that every experience we create externally is a reflection of that which comes from the inside, from within.
I often hear stories of people committed to working towards building a new system, more regenerative and equitable. It gives me goosebumps and my brain hitches when I learn they left their jobs because of a clear inconsistency between what is preached and what is done. Due to these experiences, they start doubting their chosen path, which is guided by purpose.
I can deeply relate to these stories, as I have been there done that.
And I wonder, are these contradictory experiences inevitable as we move forward to a more conscious system? Is this part of being in the transition team, performing in an obsolete system while building a new one?
With Twisted Connection, I want to tackle this disconnection between internal and external dynamics of impact driven organizations.
Can we really bring about change when we are perpetrating behaviors and relationships under old paradigms? Can innovative products and services solely bring social and environmental impact?
These stories reinforce my motivation even more to find creative and disruptive ways to connect values with realities. Can we have the courage to look internally and work towards aligning our delivered impact with the mindsets and methods we use to do it?
